You
are invited to join us at our home Yuba County Airport (MYV),
Marysville, CA, as we continue the tradition of offering
excellent educational opportunities at the 2009 Golden West
Regional Fly-In on June 12, 13, & 14, 2009. This year we will
again have multiple forums and workshop areas running concurrently
throughout the convention providing the setting for you, as a forum
or workshop presenter to reach out to others who share your
interests in aviation.
Forums begin at 11:00 am
Friday. Forums continue on Saturday & Sunday at 9:00 am.
Forums start on the hour. The last hour to begin a
presentation is at 2 pm on Friday and Saturday and noon on Sunday.
The format is the forum is usually 40 to 50 minutes with a break
near the end of the hour. It is possible to combine forum
slots should you wish to give a longer presentation. Forums
can be repeated on two or more days. We have five locations.
There is a change from last year . . . the last forum of the day
starts one hour before the airshow - there will be no forums after
the airshow.

Workshops run
continuously throughout the day and offer hands-on opportunities for
attendees to learn about some aspects of aircraft construction.

Sarah Ratzesberger - The Seabird Protection Network seeks to reduce disturbance to wildlife along the California coast.

Ron Wagner - "Options in Affordable Flying" is based on the Affordable Flying Center introduced at Oshkosh 2008 and continued this year, which Ron manages. "Sport Pilot…Ask an EAA Expert" gives you the opportunity to get your questions answered by the person who presents most of EAA's forums at AirVenture, Sebring, Sun 'n Fun, and other major aviation events across the country.
TSA Careers and Interest - Our workshop will provide an opportunity for the public to talk to TSA representatives regarding career opportunities within the agency throughout the nation. Also, provide te public an educational approach about our mission and values of TSA and other interest. We will also provide visual display cases of prohibited items that are not allowed to be admitted through checkpoint security. We will also try to provide a visual display kit of inert improvised explosive devices provided by our Bomb Appraisal Officers.
